PlanSource HCM – Spring 2022 Release Coming April 21st!
PlanSource HCM’s Spring release is scheduled to be released on April 21st! Included in this upgrade are several enhancements, updates, and new features designed to make the system more user-friendly and functional. Several of these items were implemented directly from client feedback and suggestions. More information and process documentation will be provided in advance of the release taking place on April 21, 2022.
Search Employees by Preferred Name – Automatically Enabled
Tired of continually searching for an employee and being unable to find their profile by the name you refer to them as? Look no further as administrators and managers will be able to search for employees by their preferred name in the UKG Pro solution. The profile will no longer show their legal name as it will respect the employees preferred name when navigating under My Team.
Employees will be able to enter their preferred name in the system under the Name, Address, and Telephone section of their profile.
NOTE: The employee’s legal name will still appear on any legal or government documents like tax forms or pay statements.

Update Employee Status History – Requires Manual Activation
Add, update, or delete status history records directly from the UKG Pro portal. Administrators will soon be able to update an employee’s status history start date, leave of absence reason, and notes without opening a case. Employees will also be able to view their own Status History page in the UKG Pro solution.

Effective Dating Hourly Pay Rates – Requires Manual Activation
Tired of having to retroactively correct an employee’s pay rate in payroll? Seamlessly process future hourly pay rate changes on an employee’s primary job thanks to new effective dating enhancements. When the effective date of the hourly pay rate change applies to the current pay period being processed, the UKG Pro solution will automatically pull in the rate change.
NOTE: This will only impact the primary job and hourly pay rate. The pay rates for secondary jobs, period rates or values in the other rate 1-4 will not be impacted by this change.

Smart Pay Analytics Enhancements – Automatically Enabled
Set preferences for select analytics displayed on the Smart Pay Analytics feature with expanded functionality that will give you even more configuration options. In addition, when comparing totals for a current payroll, administrators will be able to view the results they most want to see by selecting a payroll of their choosing to compare against on the Payroll Overview screen in the UKG Pro solution. Smart Pay Analytics must already be configured for an administrator to access this feature.

Mass Import Earnings for Pending Pay Items – Automatically Enabled
Your time is valuable. That’s why we’ll be rolling out a new feature that lets you quickly add earnings for multiple employees as Pending Pay Items. A new Import Earnings button will let you easily mass import employee earnings such as spot bonuses instead of having to create an individual pending pay item for each affected employee.

Filtered Menu Search – Automatically Enabled
Find menu items you’re looking for with ease thanks to a new tool bar search that filters your options. Use the search filter by typing in a word like “pay” to pull up menu options such as “Variable Pay” or “Pay History” in a flash.
NOTE: The New Menu layout which up to this point has been option will be set as the default for ALL users with this update. There will no longer be any way to revert to the old menu after this update.
