Update – Spring Release – Multi-Factor Authentication Delay

Update – Spring Release – Multi-Factor Authentication Delay

Data security remains as the highest priority at UKG. Over the past year, many significant investments to the UKG back-end product security have been made to position UKG as a security leader among HCM and workforce management providers.

With this as their foundation, more flexibility will be offered on how multi-factor authentication (MFA) is rolled out for your organization while requiring safeguards where necessary. As a result, UKG will be delaying the mandatory enforcement of MFA that was planned for your UKG Pro Spring Release on May 16th, 2024. This will ensure your people – the ones working hard to keep your business running – have an experience that gives them the best of what UKG has to offer.

In the coming months, UKG will be working to implement a more flexible MFA enforcement policy. While the intention is to still enforce MFA for administrators as part of that upcoming rollout, an expected revision to the original rollout will allow you to choose whether to require MFA for managers and employees based on the security needs of your organization.

We still strongly recommend turning on the MFA capabilities currently available in your solution as it adds another layer of security that can help protect you and your people. For administrators, MFA provides an added barrier to guarding the sensitive data only they can access.

We’ll be in touch soon with more details on what you can expect and a new enforcement date for administrators as we continue to receive updates from UKG. As always, thank you for your continued partnership, and please do not hesitate to reach out to the Service Team at 407-447-3837 or at hcmservice@plansource.com, if you have any questions.
