Tips & Tricks for Employee Leave Processing
There are a lot of moving parts when an employee goes out on an extended leave. One of the most under-utilized tools in our HCM system is the Per Pay Cap on employee deductions, which can help to ensure the company recoups premiums without leaving the employee with a $0 pay check upon their return. Cap Employee Arrears Deductions
Employees who are on leave for more than one pay period can quickly build up enough arrears to eat up an entire pay check! Administrators should add the calculation of a Per Pay Cap for each benefit deduction to their process for employee leave. Each deduction allows for a cap to be placed which can allow an employee to pay down arrears over time and still receive a pay check.
